I use many different materials in my DIY projects, sometimes
combining wood and metal, so I need a versatile fastener that can work with
both. This is why I love SPAX Multi-Material Construction Screws!
SPAX offers all the different sizes and head styles I need to
make small projects like this over-the-door tool organizer I built for my
closet.
I had the 1”x2” boards
cut at the hardware store and used #8 x 1-1/4" multi-material screws to put the wood
frame together. The fact that I didn’t have to pre-drill the wood with
these fasteners is a huge time saver for this step.
For the aluminum sheet hooks, I made a divot with a nail and
hammer to prevent the point from slipping.
Then I used #8
x 1-1/4" multi-material screws to attach them to the wood frame.
The special thread serrations and 4CUT point on the SPAX screws ensure that
they go in very smoothly without needing as much torque as other fasteners.
This means you end up being able to do a lot more on one battery
charge. Another reason to love these German-engineered, American-made SPAX Construction
screws!
