Hey Professionals - if you were concerned about using SPAX® 5/16” x 4” or 5” HCR PowerLags (hex OR washer head) fear not, we're code approved!
We now have the TER report that shows our lags are a sufficient replacement for the fasteners called out in the table R507.9.1.3(1) of the 2018 IRC.
This technical bulletin is a SPAX® summary of the official DrJ TER No. 1711-01 test report and you may find it helpful to more easily understand how to properly use our lags during the ledger installation process.
