Stopping The Madness: Step Away From The Drywall Screws

It's still an everyday occurrence.  We hear of drywall screw use for multiple applications and people wondering why they are snapping, stripping and projects are failing. (They are called drywall screws for a reason.) OH THE HUMANITY!!!

Recently we were told about a major kitchen cabinet fail where drywall screws were used to hang cabinets. Ok people, listen up - SPAX^® happens to make a variety of screws for a variety of applications...including an amazing Cabinet Screw!

Summer Project Overload? Better Stay Organized!

It's summertime, or for a lot of you out there it's otherwise known as "Project Season" and it's go time!

Checking off that summer to-do list requires some good ole organization in your workshop or garage to keep your projects moving and also to keep your sanity. One of the best examples of workshop envy is the space of Sawdust Girl  (if you're not following her yet, you should!).

Building vertical drawers in your cabinets are a brilliant way to keep track and store away all of your DIY inventory.

build in an afternoon. It can be used to hold an iPad or a traditional book and finished any way
you can imagine. Use wood scraps from around the shop and this becomes the most

We just got back (still catching our breath) from the Remodeling and Deck Expo...much more to come on that very soon! We saw so many cool new products and witnessed some great remodel and outdoor demos that we've got the bug to start "swinging the hammer" (or we should say the impact driver) all over the place ourselves.

When we think of remodel projects one of the first names that come to mind is our friend Sandra Powell aka Sawdust Girl. Not only does she do it right, she does it like an animal! She's been tackling some major projects in her house, primarily her awesome kitchen area and we love to follow her progress. Oh, and did we mention she uses SPAX for all her projects? (Cue the angel chorus)
